"Wm Notman & Son". (from 19th Century to 1920's)
Currently on display on McGill College Avenue.


William Notman (March 8, 1826 – November 25, 1891) was a Canadian photographer and businessman. When he died, management of the studio "Wm Notman & Son" was left to his son William McFarlane Notman, an experienced photographer in his own right. The original photographs are currently housed in the McCord Museum.

  2. That is a really good way to display the old photos so people don't have to go into an enclosed space but can appreciate in the outdoors where they were taken.

    Pity about Ben's, they had the best Latkes. I sure remember the decor and the waiters . . . -:)

  3. Thanks, yes there are, I would love to see the Jaques Cartier bridge and the view down to St.Helen's island . . . is there still a restaurant there?

    I just found a couple of videos of and from the bridge but they were not very good. The footpath on the bridge seems to be totally enclosed now, ah well, no more jumping into the St. Lawrence for there I guess . .
