Central Station (Gare Centrale in French) is the primary (Via Rail) railway station in Montreal, Canada. Situated in the heart of downtown, it is an important link in Montreal's "underground city" - which is an elaborate and extensive network of tunnels/walkways that connects the entire downtown core, all underground. And for your convenience, the station also houses "Les Halles de la Gare", a shopping and restaurant complex. Here is where I usually stop for a muffin and coffee.
I think Montreal has one of the nicest railway lounges in Canada. Relax or catch up on your email while you wait for your train to arrive. And the staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Wow they provide a very nice waiting area for their commuters!
Wow, haven't been in a train since I was a student travelling to Toronto. What a change from the plastic bucket seats they used to have. Looks like a great place to people watch while you have a coffee waiting to board.
In un luogo così bello si potrebbe sopportare meglio il treno che arriva con ritardo !
Dans un endroit si beau que vous pourriez mieux faire face aux trains qui arrivent en retard!
