Hold the calls. Claudia is on her lunch break!
This serene cow makes her home in the sculpture garden of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts on Sherbrooke Street. Her creator is Joe Fafard whose art is heavily influenced by his Saskatchewan surroundings, and includes life-size bronzes of cows, horses and pigs.
From this angle, she seems a bit out of place on an uncomfortable sidewalk.
ReplyDeleteClaudia moves around a lot. She'll be OK. hehe
ReplyDeleteShe is on loan from the Galerie de Bellefeuille, here in Montreal.
Have a good weekend.
What a lovely cow. I'd like to rest my head against her. Regarding your question about Wells Fountain...it's right in the center of Brattleboro, Vermont. I haven't been to Wells, UK yet. Should I put it on my list?
ReplyDeleteC'est Clauida la Vache! The sister to Louis la Vache (see San Francisco DP blog) C'est fun!
ReplyDeletethere seems to be a lot of cow statues appearing everywhere lately!
ReplyDeleteI've always thought that art pieces are alive.

I have always loved Fafard's cows - of all his work they seem to work the best! Nice one.
ReplyDeleteSomeone give her some hay!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely cow!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of rural representations in urban areas.
